About Us

Our Story

Rainier Fresh Country Store was born out a fascination with food and connection with our community. Owners Patrick and Rachel Brown spent years in the hospitality industry and even started a small but successful farm before purchasing Rainier Fresh in late 2023. While the concept started out as a produce stand it has turned into a produce focused independent grocer over the years.

As a small business we focus a lot on values. We firmly believe that not all small businesses are good businesses and not all large businesses are inherently bad.

These are the principles that we run our store by:

  • Livable Wages: We pay our team as well as possible, for every role.

  • Giving Back: We welcome opportunities to donate to our favorite food security organizations and community partners. If we can help, we will.

  • Trusting our guests: If you find any purchase not to your liking or expectation, we offer an on-the-spot, cash or digital refund. We want you to know that we stand by our products and trust that we will always endeavor to do the right thing.

  • Having Fun: Food should be fun, and we are committed to continuing to find unique and exciting products for you to enjoy with your own loved ones.
